During her grade school days, one of my daughters, Trinity “Tres” Salazar, attended her first Student Leadership Training. It was participated by student leader representatives from all their school branches throughout the country. It is a major event so she asked me for tips on how to be a Student Leader.

I told her to have fun, meet new friends, learn a lot of new things and strive to BE THE BEST FOLLOWER.

She exclaimed.. “Dad, this is a student LEADERSHIP training…”

I said “exactly… it is your first student leadership training so you must “strive to be the best follower”

After a week, she excitedly came back with awesome stories, names of her new friends and that their Team Leader acknowledged her as the most helpful in all their activities.

In the following year’s Student Leadership Training…, my daughter Tres attended again.

A week later, I was informed by her Teacher-Adviser that Tres helped 3 other groups put up their tents, helped carry heavy mineral water gallons bottles, helped other Teams organize their cheer, and was very active during their Student Leadership Training in Batangas.

Tres requested that her Team joins her coz she said its a Team effort not just hers.
