All of us have mentors, idols and people we look up to who inspire us to be great. We also have family members who have always been there with us along the journey no matter what hurdles and disappointments that come our way. We sometimes offer our achievements, awards and medals to them.

My eldest daughter, Nina Gabrielle, got married two months ago. She and her husband, Titus, had a beautiful garden wedding in Our Haven Events Place in Cavite. They did all the old traditions and new gimmicks in their wedding… except the flower bouquet toss. In her social media post she said (translated) in English:

Hi Lolo (grand dad) Jim,

I did not have a flower bouquet toss during my wedding because I want to offer my flowers to you and Lolo Daddy because I know you were there in spirit during my wedding.

*Nina Gabrielle is very close to both her grand dads. Both of her grand dads on her father-side and mother-side are no longer with us.
