Each organization has a set of core values which acts as a moral compass that guides all members of the organization to always do the right things as they work towards their goals. Some of the essential core values of organizations are faith, respect, positivity, excellence, integrity, citizenship, trust, resiliency, heart, collaboration, innovation, simplicity, accountability, equality, and Team-spiritedness.

Each of us have our own personal core values that define who we are. Our values are rooted from our family, our community, religion and school. Our experiences in life influence which values are most important to us. It helps us determine the choices we make in life, friendship and career. This is the reason why we must ensure our personal values are aligned to the core values of the organizations we join. This is one of the essential elements that make us happy and stay long in our organization.

*About the photo
One of the engagement activities I love doing is to have awards based on the core values of the organization. This helps reinforce the core values to all Associates and leaders. It reminds everyone they equally have the responsibility to strive hard to make the organization a great place to work. Each Associate is the Ambassador of the organization. The way they interact with others, how they treat their customers, how they care for the environment and how they spread positivity is a reflection of both the person and the organization they represent.

Meet Veron from Unioil Gas Station in Osmena Hi-way South Luzon Expressway.

I was rushing to a meeting, I have so many things on my mind about work and was a bit sad because my brother and his family, who were in town, are departing for Los Angeles the following day. When I pulled over to get fuel, I was met by the friendly, bubbly and inspiring personality of Veron from Unioil. The tone of her voice was very lively and pleasant. She greeted me with a smile, reminded me of my safety as she put diesel in my vehicle, cleaned my windshield, asked if I have trash she can help me dispose of. She was friendly, very smart and was interacting nicely & joking with her co-workers. She asked if I have an S&R card to get a discount on my fuel. She asked me if I need water in my windshield washer, if my tires need air pressure checked and told me to dive safely & have a happy day ahead as I drove out of their station. Just look at her smile on the photo and you will understand why I love going to this gas station.
