Student Leaders

SNAPS DAY 327

11/23/20221 min read

Do you remember your college days? Being a college student is tough. Balancing your academics, house chores, time with friends & loved ones, gaming & SocMed, Netflix, and, “me-time” is truly exhausting. This is why I applaud students who decide to serve as student leaders.

Being elected as an officer of any student organization or of the Student Council or Student Government is a great experiential learning opportunity. Aside from having a big heart to serve their fellow students, represent their university & their community, these student leaders are given the coveted chance to start developing their leadership competencies at an early stage. This is why I am glad to see fellow student leaders successful in their own business or growing their corporate careers across various industries. They continue to serve others and share positivity. So, when I interview candidates, they have extra brownie points when I see that they were a student leader.

Please PM me and share how your student leadership experience helped you to where you are now.

I am humbled to be part of a family heritage that serves the community at a young age. My dad served in the CYA of the University Of the Philippines during his pre-law in college. Im happy my children also served as student leaders. Nina was a Public Relations Officer, Tres was Sargent-At-Arms and Elisa was Level Governor in the Student Council of their respective Grade Schools.

On the photo is my son, Great, when he served his fellow Bosconians as Grade 12 Batch Representative in the Student Council of Don Bosco Technical Institute- Makati.
