Be An “Industry-First Leader”
SNAPS DAY 317

Some of the most remarkable leaders are those who work tirelessly in advocating the growth of the industry where they belong. They collaborate with other industry leaders, share best practices, promote and protect the industry. They partner with the national and local government in shaping policies that help the industry become successful, sustainable and profitable. They cooperate with the academe in designing courses that directly support industry requirements. They aggressively and extensively find ways to source, increase and even enhance the talent pool to bridge the skills gap between the available talent and industry prerequisites.
These are “Industry-First Leaders” who prioritize the industry benefits versus their company affiliations and personal interests. They constantly transform and elevate the industry and promote it globally. I personally salute all our IT-BPM industry champions! You are a great inspiration to all of us! Thank you for your service and leadership.
*About the photo
I have always been an enthusiastic servant of the IT-BPM industry since 2005. One of the industry responsibilities I love doing is being part of the Membership Committee of IBPAP (IT and Business Processing Association of the Philippines). I am humbled and honored to be part of its Membership Committee since 2007 during the time of Jonathan, until the time of Genny and Indu. I can proudly say that I am part of the Team responsible for ensuring the members of the IBPAP association are aligned to its purpose, vision, mandate and values serving the Philippine IT-BPM industry.
This is a photo of one the the IBPAP Membership Committee meetings held last July 2019 when we interviewed representatives from several companies who were applying to be a member of IBPAP. It is a small industry so some of the representatives from these companies applying are highly respected industry friends and colleagues who have joined other organizations. I typically ask applicants the hardest interview questions during the screening for membership especially since me and my good friend Karmeli, in this photo, are the most tenured members of this Committee since 2007.
It is my personal commitment to prioritize & serve our beloved IT-BPM industry regardless which organization I am affiliated with because when the industry is successful, when the community is progressive, my organization is successful too.
