SNAPS DAY 272

A Democratic Leadership style is an option you can use when you shift from a Teammate into the Leader of the Team role or if you are taking over an existing Team or when you are leading a high performing Team. This makes them feel valued, trusted, empowered and accountable for the success of the Team. It enables each and every member of your Team to share their insights, best practices and develop a culture of collaboration. Allowing your Associates to participate in the decision making process, in strategy creation and in leading critical projects result to a high level of Associate motivation, sustainable top performance and retention.

*About the photo

My family regularly conducts a Family Meeting and it’s always with delicious food. This activity enables all members of the family to share their dreams & aspirations, insights & opinions, suggestions about what the family must do for certain sensitive family-matters, complains about anything, and, provide feedback to each of the other family members freely with no negative judgement from any other family member because feedback is a gift.

It was during this particular family meeting, when my parents joined, that my dad and mom said: “We will sponsor the tuition fee of any of our grandchildren who will take their Masters degree”.

This is the reason why my eldest daughter, Nina, had an intimate photo with my parents in #365SNAPS Day 153. She came straight from her graduation ceremony still wearing her graduation gown in that photo with my parents.
