"Lights, Camera, Action!"
SNAPS DAY 264

Leaders are the role models of all Associates in the organization. The spotlight is on us whether at work or outside work. All eyes are looking at us and ready to catch us doing the right thing and when we are not. We are the ultimate brand ambassadors living the mission, values and culture of the organization. Associates will follow what they see that we do and not what we say both in the office and in social media.
Being a leader requires us to be a good human being who is honest, trustworthy and a good citizen. We must be able to effectively & positively influence others at-scale to bring out their very best. Our passion and perseverance must be felt by every single Associate in the organization. While we are not perfect, we must strive to be because everyone affiliates themselves to their leader.
Leaders are always first at the frontlines working together with our Associates especially in times of great need like a major setback during transitions or peak-season ramps, an executive level escalation, sudden high attrition, executing a get-to-green plan, contract-related confusion, and so many more examples. The recent Covid-19 pandemic revealed leaders who are seasoned & successful in handling black swans, leaders who did their best & matured overnight, and, also those who did not know what to do & did nothing which unfortunately resulted to hundreds of their employees floating & losing their jobs.

Being a leader is not just about the nice title, high salary and the glamorous stature. It requires a lot of hard work and heart work day-in and day-out. Treat your fellow Associates like how you are the eldest to your younger bothers and sisters guiding them through the journey and showing them the way forward. Serve your customers like how you proudly serve your mother and father with utmost respect and genuine care. Rally your community to a better life just like how you work tirelessly to secure a better future for your family. Be an inspiration, a mentor and a Coach to everyone as you are to your children. Create a lasting positive legacy as a leader to the industry just like what you do for your grand children.
*About the photo
This is one of my daughters, Tres, in front of the Pinoy Big Brother’s (PBB) House in Quezon City some years ago. PBB is a TV Reality Show inside a big house with a lot of cameras to observe how the housemates live and comply with the rules of Big Brother inside his house 24x7.
*Thank you
It is world gratitude day today! I would like to thank all of my mentors, my fellow Associates, my professors, my community, my parents, my siblings, my family and my God.
