I establish an emotional connection of trust with my customers. They call because they need help, they must have ran into a problem that is why they are behind on their payments. Calling us takes their precious time away from their family or their work or their personal situation. I ensure I listen attentively and identify their problems. I do not rush my customers or cut them, I let them express their emotions. When a customer is irate or sometimes yelling or crying... then, the more I know they need my help. I provide the best solution options all the time. I reassure them I am the right expert who will (not only can)… who will help them NOW.

Everyone in the Department loves Daddy Rey. It is a common sight to see him coaching his peers before the start of his shift or during his breaks. You see them do their own role plays and discussions. Anyone he coaches gets inspired, gets better with their performance, and stays with the Team. Plus, he is such a good gentle human being in the Team who’s always smiling, always approachable, always a good friend.

When I invited him for a promotion, he politely declined. He said… “I really appreciate it but my #1 customer is waiting for me at home - My Family”.

I get to meet a lot of Number 1s. There is only 1 Daddy Rey. In the 4 years that I had the coveted opportunity to work with him.. he is always the Associate of the Year. In the photo is me with Daddy Rey who is receiving another award.
