I found out I was Covid-19 positive last March 11, 2021 when I was in Cebu. One of my daughters, Tres, was staying with me and on March 14, she was also positive.

It felt like the worst flu in my life. I felt like only 80% of the air I breathe is absorbed by my lungs. The local government allowed me and Tres to be on home isolation. Super thanks to the help of our HR who also brought food and supplies for us (thank you, Rey). Our company doctor, Dr Alvin, was also checking on us daily.

When I woke up on the 8th day, I felt very well as if noting happened. My daughter had flu for 3 days and then felt 100% well on the 4th day. We continued our home isolation for 21 days then had a swab test after 30 days which results showed negative. Praise God!

We shared our experiences to our family and friends. I am grateful that as I write this post today, the Philippines is generally in a better situation. There is an increased population of fully vaccinated and those who also got boosters. It is also generally Alert Level 1 in most parts of the country. (stay safe everyone)

Let us be conscious about our health. Eat healthy. Sleep a lot. Exercise. Take vitamins. Stop smoking / vaping. Get vaccinated and boosters if you have not done it yet. Pray.

Me and Tres were fortunate to get well from Covid-19. At that time there was no vaccines given to the general public in Cebu. We got vaccinated as soon as it was available for non-front liners. Just like you, I have friends and family members of people I know who unfortunately are no longer with us because of Covid-19. Please cherish the time with your family.
