Our dad is a very successful lawyer who became one of the most celebrated Regional Trial Court Judges in the Philippines. He is one of the 3 so-called “hukom bitay” judges who handled special cases related to rebellion, drugs and other heinous crimes. He graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Law. He was very passionate about teaching others that he taught law subjects for over 20 years in the University of the Philippines, in the University of the East, and in San Sebastian University.

To the surprise of his friends and colleagues, dad never influenced any of his children to take law. His children are a successful nurse, a doctor of physical therapy in Los Angeles, an executive at the department of public works who’s also a dragon boat coach, and the eldest (me) is a human resource management and MBA graduate humbly serving customers, fellow associates and the community in the BPO industry.

My gorgeous wife Prudence and me do our very best to support our four awesome kids to choose the college degree they truly want. We expose them to various fields of work and jobs as they grow up to help them make a decision on their own. Our eldest daughter, Nina, completed Information Systems from Mapua and is now finishing her thesis for Masters in Business Administration in Lyceum University. Our son, Great, initially wanted to be an engineer but later found his true passion to be a Humans Resource Management practitioner (like me) who is on his last school year in DLSU-College of St Benilde. Our third child, Tres, is a creative and outgoing young lady taking up Entrepreneurship and Organizational Communication from DLSU. Our youngest, Elisa, is a smart young girl who is currently in Grade 8 in Collegio de Sta Rosa Makati and aspires to be a doctor someday.

*About the photo

This photo was taken in a restaurant under the train station across Ueno Park Tokyo during one of our many family holidays in Japan. We did not understand what was written on the vendo machine so we joyfully selected our food based on the photos. We always chose different food options on our own then share it with each other. Ramen is one of our favorites and we allow our kids to choose their own ramen.
