Even before the Asian Economic Crisis in the late 1990s, one of the solutions we provided our nationwide automotive dealership network was fast and easy delivery of spare parts so they just focus on servicing their customers. We called it “JIT with a Smile” (Just In Time with a Smile).
Our Project Team conducted a comprehensive time & motion study, consulted SMEs for security, traffic, etc. For our Metro Manila dealers, if you order it by 10am, you get your parts before 2pm. If you order it by 4pm, you get it before 8am the following day. We also had a motorcycle rider for rush orders. For our Provincial deliveries, we deliver within 24 to 48 hours. We also have a rush option via airfreight.
Inter-connectivity of our ordering app- inventory control system - warehouse Ops tool & delivery between our dealer network and us at the distributor plus to all our suppliers both locally and in Asia was the secret sauce. This is aligned with our goal for our customers to “Enjoy The Ride” because life is a journey.
Fast track to today, we all appreciate having 24 x 7 food delivery options using an ordering app especially during the lockdowns. It’s a joy we already did something similar over 2 decades ago.
