Sometimes, your role demands you to implement aggressive marketing strategies. Some of the basic things you need to do are the following:

Identify your desired target market based on your strengths & capabilities. Understand their pain points and the industry’s pain points. Visualize where their industry is headed. See through corners. Be the trailblazer ahead of the curve. You cannot boil the ocean so ensure you have a focused segment where you believe you are the dominant player against competition and where you have the most C-level connections.

Market your products and services. Start with organic marketing which is focused on your current customers wherein you expand your services to the rest of their other divisions, geographies or conglomerate and even to their referrals.

As you exhaust your warm network, you’ll then need to implement guerrilla marketing strategies. These are out-of-the-normal activities, tactics, ads or cold calling that creates a sense of surprise, delight, attraction and interest. The first 3 seconds need to capture the attention of customers to keep them engaged and trigger an emotional spark to purchase. It must be genuine, personal and emotional.

Lastly, it’s a numbers game. You must monitor the effectiveness and trends of all your strategies. Be flexible and smart as you modify and change strategies. Stick to your targets. You can do it!

*About the photo
My son, Great, and his friends love playing basketball with Teams who they are meeting for the first time. When he was a teenager, he usually takes the Power Forward position. This requires him to quickly anticipate where the competition are, where his Teammates are and who has the highest shooting percentage.

This is one of his attack photos during a basketball game.
