One of the first leaders that anyone admires are our Teachers. They embody emphatic listening, are able to impart knowledge brilliantly and inspire learners to come out of their shell to share what they have learned. They are exceptional motivators who encourage their learners to continue learning even outside the class environment. They open our minds to be curious, creative and become problem solvers. They excite learners by transforming their class environment into an active workshop where one can fail, stand up, try again, still try again and again until we all celebrate your success.

Teachers also act as our second parents educating us on good moral values, love for all living things, care for the environment, stand up for what is right, and praise God. They are super heroes who dedicate their lives for the success of others.

As we progress in our careers and become People Leaders, Trainers, Managers, Directors, and Presidents, we are inspired and do our best to follow the leadership styles that we learned from our model teachers, trainers, mentors and Coaches.

I salute ALL Teachers around the globe!This year’s theme for Teachers Day is “the transformation of education begins with Teachers”. I am blessed to have teachers in the family — my father Jimmy, my brother Coach Nath, my eldest daughter Nina, my mother-in-law Lina and so much more from my relatives, colleagues and friends.

This is the stunning photo of my grand mother, Gracia Naval Salazar after her recital in Siliman University where she graduated. She became one of the most loved teachers in our province of Silang Cavite teaching English and Music subjects.
