The top 3 criteria in any RFP is usually: #1. Lowest Cost with highest Quality, #2. Operations Excellence focused on Customer Experience, and, #3. Transformation & Automation.
BUT WHEN ITS A TIE…. clients decide based on Culture Alignment to their organization’s VMOS (Vision, Mission to stakeholders, Objectives of the business, and Strategic Imperatives) and Advocacy.
Me and one of my Teams were in the exact situation. In the meeting, the client expressed they are having a hard time deciding amongst the last 3 vendors.
Our sales executive and my boss gave me the look… “Patrick, how do we win this deal?”
I told them.. “I need to call my gorgeous wife, Prudence!”
I announced a 10-minute soda & snack break. I called my wife while inside the Boardroom and put her on speaker. I asked her if we can go out for lunch this weekend with the kids. Our kids were happily & noisily chanting in excitement in the background suggesting where to go to. Everyone agreed to go to "Tagaytay!"


One of my clients said your family sounds like a lot of fun!
I told my clients, we usually go out as a family because that is how we share happiness.
Then, I showed them photos of my family from a FaceBook post that I posted “almost a year ago”.
Before my clients left the meeting, they requested that I email them my FaceBook Post with my family photos coz they want to show it to some of their friends.
