The most senior leader must set the culture, live it, breathe it. The first stage of the Associate life cycle is Onboarding. As leaders, lets personally welcome new Associates who join the organization most especially our Frontline Associates.

Our Associates make up the organization and not the nice multimedia commercials and branding. They each join as human beings with aspirations and goals that are in close alignment with the organization’s purpose, values and culture.

When you meet them, share stories about your Frontline Associates who are everyday heroes providing expert and personalized care for customers. Describe how continuous training, mentorship and tools are provided to enable them to just focus on the customers’ needs. Talk about the exciting engagement activities, the fun family spirit across Teams, and, please go ahead and do some Tiktok moves if you can. Let them ask questions about any topic. Describe how careers grow and how dreams come true in the organization.

We introduced the new members of the Cebu Leadership Council (CLC) during a Site-wide Quarterly Town Hall with a theme about empowerment. Gutsy (wearing green) and I welcomed Reggie (wearing yellow) who is our new Human Resource Head and JC (wearing black) who is our new peer Delivery Head.

The main discussion about our wins, malasakit programs and way forward were presented via a podcast format which was cool & hitech. There was the usual interactive questions and answers that followed.

Then, to close the Town Hall was the much awaited “pasabog” (special number) of the CLC. To align with the theme, we did a boy band inspired fun music video of “I Want It That Way” at Lakeview Le Jardin in Cebu.

Haha… these 3 guys don’t dance but I’m grateful they agreed to do this with me. Our Associates loved it so much, they requested to play the video twice during the town hall.
