"Which Super Hero Were You When You Were A Child?"

SNAPS DAY 241

8/29/20221 min read

Reflect on how many times you helped your parent carry the groceries or how many times you helped clean the house? How many times did you help a classmate in school? How many times did you volunteer for community service or to protect the environment? How many times did you mentor a colleague at work? How many times did the company strategy you developed with your Team of other super heroes helped hundreds of your customers and created jobs to people who need hope?

Trust me… If you are a parent or a guardian, you are now living your hero’s dream through your child.

You support them and encourage them to be a hero for others. You even dress them up with a cape, a mask, and believe in their super powers. You teach your child that s/he must always do good things and protect what is good.

That said...

In your child’s eye’s YOU are her/his hero.

What your child does not know is that… s/he is yours.

*Action Requested:

Call your hero now and tell her / him… “Thank you!”

When you were between 4 to 7 years old, which super hero did you want to be? Were you Superman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman, She-ra, Batman, Iron Man, or a Jedi Warrior? Back then, we all believed this is very real and not make believe.

Why? Because heroes believe in humanity. They believe that good will always triumph over the bad. Heroes are resilient so no matter what challenges come their way, heroes will always save the day.

As you went to school, as you started working, and as you build your own family, your hero’s dream never stoped.

*About the photo:

This was the backdrop when I was delivering this speech for a ROAR leadership event in one of my organizations.

The person who helped me write this speech and the concept of this photo for my backdrop is my very first hero —- Thanks po, Dad!

MABUHAY!! It’s Philippine National Heroes Day today!
