Everything must start with YOU.

Change must start with you. You can never influence your Team to do something that you yourself has never done before. It’s best to demonstrate to them how things are done, mentor them how to do it, guide them as they go through the journey, and once they are able to do it, ensure they add their own personality and own the change for themselves.

When the Covid-19 lockdowns started, there were a lot of uncertainty, anxiety and adjustments that every single one of us must do and adopt to. One of them is the huge change from working in the offie to working from home. Aside from the internet connectivity and background noise… there was the huge adjustment of the family members too. In the BPO industry, our family supported us by ensuring everyone is quiet when work shift starts, no television, no loud music, you can’t ask the worker to do house chores even when s/he is physically there at home and so many others.

During our very first Quarterly Town Hall in the lockdowns, the senior leadership decided to show how we are adjusting nicely to the work from home set up.
