When Associates are happy with the work environment they are in, there is high trust with their leaders, and their personal values are aligned with the organization… they:

D-elight customers

A-dvocate for the company and brand they represent

C-are about their customer’s experience, and they are

E-mpowered to provide the right solutions to customers.

Now, let me tell you about one of my leaders who is like a “Princess” with a Tool Box.

Anticipating a possible community lockdown when the pandemic first started in March 2020, one of my leaders asked our IT Department to train her on all the possible technical troubleshooting needed when Associates work from home. She and two of her Associates piloted this approach.

When the entire Site started migrating hundreds of Associates into a work from home environment daily, the IT department engineers had time to focus on all the other programs and no longer with her program. This is because she trained herself and her entire frontline leadership to be ones to assist their Associates when they need technical help. Her Team was happy and look up to her as their hero, their inspiration, and their troubleshooting Princess with a toolbox. Definitely a great demonstration of her sense of ownership and leadership.

They did this video to cheer up each other when the lockdowns started in 2020. They delight their customers daily by ensuring their smiling hearts are felt by their customers on the phones whether they work in the office or work from home.
