The decision to allow negativity to win over positivity resides on our shoulders. There will always be challenges that come our way both in our personal and professional circumstances.
Sometimes when it rains, it pours and there is just so much negativity (I call them Neg Bugs) happening all at the same time, our spirits are down and it's just so exhausting. Remember that sometimes you win. Accept that sometimes you lose. Know that every time you lose is the time that you learn a life lesson. What you learn is sometimes the ability to survive the negativity and it makes your mind and spirit stronger. Learning from losing is the first step towards the winning path.
I have lost more than my wins throughout my life. My friends and colleagues would say that they see only positive posts on my social media and I am always full of positive energy when they see me so they assume I do not have problems, challenges and defeats.
It is my decision not to post negativity on my social media and to always stay positive and energetic when I am with other people.
I have are a lot of friends, colleagues both past & present, family and loved ones who get inspiration & strength from me. This is why I am conscious and responsible on what I post on social media. Just imagine if I post a sad face on my social media… I will unnecessarily affect other people. Hence, I will never do that. Case in point, when my dad passed away, I spoke about celebrating his life with all of his family, loved ones and friends instead of his passing.
When I am in a very difficult and complex situation, I reach out to my wife, my siblings, my dad when he was still around, and of course to God.
I decide to stay positive!
*About the photo
During one of our family vacations in Japan, we visited the Namba Yasaka Shrine which is known as the Lion Head Shrine in Osaka. The belief of its worshipers is that the wide mouth of the Lion swallows all the evil and negativity. This is also known as a call for victory and success over evil and defeat.
