I AM HAPPY!!!!

Finally, I met and spoke with my dad again since he left us last February 1, 2021! He was in my dream this morning. Thank you po, Lord!

My dream: I entered a grand party he was hosting. There was a lot of people, food and live music. When I turn around, I saw him sitting enjoying the music. He looks really good and happy. I approached him, embraced him from behind with both arms and said..

“Kamusta ka na dad?” (How are you, dad?)

With his usual smile and happy tone he said.. “Okay namaaan…” (I am doing fine)

My advise for today is VISIT YOUR PARENTS. Cherish every moment with them. They do not have a lot of time left with us.

It is always a Fiesta Weekend! This is one of those regular weekend mornings at my parent house.

At least twice a month since I got married and lived 2 cities away from my parents, I would normally wake up at 6am on a Saturday. Go to the local weekend farmers’ market in Makati or Taguig or Pasig, then bring lots of different kinds of food to my parents’ house in Sampaloc, Manila. Sometimes my entire family goes with me or just me & my wife or a couple of my kids. I know when my parents are happy with the food I bring when they say “Ricky, ang dami naman neto!!" (This is so much food!). We happily eat and talk about anything & everything and sometimes sing. This is the brainstorming time with my dad who is my mentor about work, life and family. Then, I would be back in my home by 10am in case there are any family activities that day.
