“There must always be love in the FAMILY”

This is one of the teachings of my grand mother, Lola Cion, to me and my siblings since we were very young. Back then, I wondered how can I love my brother because we always fight as young boys. I also wondered back then how would l love my sister when we always argue who is the smartest as young kids. Now that we are adults and have kids of our own, our relationship as siblings is filled with love, support and a lot of fun experiences even if they and their families are both in Los Angeles USA while me and my family are here in Manila Philippines.

That said… growing up I realized that my Lola Cion was not just talking about love for my family members. With the word “family” what she meant was… love for the community, love for my school, love for my organizations, love for my country, love for what is right, etc and… love for the environment and Mother Earth.

Me and my gorgeous wife Prudence have started diving together since December 2021. This is our way of showing our love and responsibility to our environment. This video of my wife was when we were diving in Moalboal in Cebu Island last April 9, 2022 during our 30th anniversary as sweethearts. You see her dancing with the sardines while I am behind her.
