Leaders must walk the talk. When your Team sees you perform the actual work with them, they will respect you more and truly absorb what you mentor them on.
Some of the activities I do in all my BPM organizations that I can think of while writing this #SNAP as I sit in my car with my son driving for us on the way to a family vacation in Ilocos Norte are:
Integrate:
I always welcome new hires, I regularly review our onboarding process with the Team especially to prepare for huge seasonal ramps, etc
Engage:
I walk the production floors thanking Associates for coming to work especially during critical work days, I always do a light talent presentation during town halls, I join Monthly Business Reviews with clients and also participate in Weekly Business Reviews whenever my schedule permits to show support to my leaders, etc
Communicate:
I have an internal employee satisfaction survey designed to solve employee concerns and communicate the results & actions back to Associates, I ensure we have the right leadership development program to prepare our future leaders especially for the huge seasonal ramps, etc
Celebrate:
I talk about the great achievements of my leaders in public while I speak to them in private during mentorship conversations, I guide my leaders as they themselves lead the strategic planning sessions, etc.
If you’re one of my Team members, maybe you can add more. Thank you.

Our children will follow what they see us do, not what we tell them to do. Here is my 1-year old grand daughter, Avree, helping my wife sweep the garage floor where her cute Hello Kitty car is parked.
