One approach in a mentorship relationship is: First, you show your mentee how an activity is done. Afterwards, do the activity together. Then, you supervise them while they are doing it. What follows is paying it forward because now they own the activity and teach others how it’s done.

*About this photo

I always plan our family holidays across Asia including navigating through the train stations to get to our planned tourist destinations each day coming from our Airbnb house.

As our children became teenagers, they took over this role. Here’s a photo of my kids determining how to get from our Airbnb house in Asok District to the BTS train station in Saphan Taksin. This ST BTS station gives us access to several tourist attractions like Wat Pho, Wat Arun, Grand Palace and Asiatique by riding river boats via the historic Chao Phraya River in Bangkok Thailand.
