The organization’s focus on Customer Experience First (CX1) will only be sustainable, scalable and successful IF the organization also has equal focus on Associate Experience First (AX1) AND Community Experience First (CmX1).
What I noticee is when an organization takes responsibility of its community, the community improves its financial, educational and economic conditions. This is why I encourage organizations I am part of to design their corporate social responsibility programs to help bridge the competency gap of their community and their hiring requirements. When you adopt the community to be part of your organization, the result is the community adopts your organization as part of theirs. The community now joins you in ensuring you are successful.
Also, when an organization invests in a true comprehensive Associate Development Program, it creates brand of home, growth, and sustainability for its Associates and future Associates. Imagine a new hire on his first day, can see clearly how yo become a Director in the company. The performance expectations, timelines, support system, training programs, immersion programs, mentors and rewards are clear. Add all the components of being a great place to work like trust, engagement and cooperation will help keep an Associate constantly happy to grow and stay in the organization.

*About the photo
As Super Typhoon Pablo was moving across mainly the middle parts of the Philippines devastating everything in its path last December 2012, it caused a landslide in the mountainous parts of Laguna Province. My 4 awesome kids immediately came to the aid of the kids who were affected that weekend.
From the left of the photo standing at the back of my Isuzu Alterra are Nina who was 16 (yellow shirt), Enthusiastic Elisa was 5 (pink shirt), Great was 13 (wearing black) and Tres (partly hidden wearing green & a headband) was 11 years old during this time.
The rest on the photo are the surviving kids from the landslide who lined-up to receive food and gifts from my 4 awesome kids.
