Leaders know how to bring-out the individuality, heart and natural element of their Team members. When the Team TRUSTS and feels the genuine support of their their leader, only then do their best come out.

Leaders know the strengths, opportunities and aspirations of each and every Associate in the Team. S/He aligns it with the organization’s mission and goals. This makes the work that they do make logical sense.

This is about a beautiful and amazing human being I’m humbled to call my friend.

This photo was taken on my birthday in 2019. One of my leaders, Russ, myself and the IFG volunteers along with Planet Water completed the construction of the 9th Aqua Tower providing clean drinking water to students and residents of Southville 1 Elementary School in Laguna Province which has a large population of ultra-poor communities.

IFG is led by Russ. Investing For Good (IFG) is the corporate social responsibility program of the organization that we were part of before.

Aside from IFG, he leads a large department whose metrics are always green including reliability and retention. During one of our weekly 10:10s, I asked him… What is your secret in being a charismatic leader?

He said: “Tao muna” (People First).

Lead with empathy. Encourage the Team to put themselves first and foremost because being human first is what makes a great Team achieve any and all their goals.
