I am not always right and I make mistakes too. Whenever I am at fault or if there is a gray area who is the person at fault.. I make sure to be the first to genuinely apologize and say “I am sorry”.
My parents and education in Catholic schools helped me develop humility and accountability to apologize when I unintentionally hurt someone’s emotions.
It is not always a sunny blue sky every day. Sometimes even if we prepare for everything to go well, moments will come when you accidentally offend someone or hurt someone’s feelings. This is not done purposely. Despite ensuring we are ready for any untoward incident, the reality is that we are not in control of everything around us. We are not also in control of the emotions of people around us so sometimes we may cause other people to be sad unconsciously.
When these things happen… say “Sorry”.

This photo was taken in Bonifacio High Street in BGC Taguig City after our family completed the “Visita Iglesia” during Holy Week. Every Maundy Thursday, Catholics visit 7 churches to pray, ask for forgiveness and glorify God by reciting the Way of the Cross.
