Our frontline leadership training program ensures our Team Leaders are the best leader, the best mentor and the best manager.

Each mentee is provided a mentor who is two levels up and is the top Operations Managers in each department.

Phase 1 starts with instructor led classes about being the best leader. There are daily and weekly knowledge tests. This is followed by an internship in a Team Lead role within the same department of the mentee. The mentee is assigned to the top Team Lead of the department for at least 1 week. S/he manages a percentage of the frontline Associates. The top TL evaluates the overall performance of the mentee.

IF the mentee passes toll gate 1, s/he moves to Phase 2 which focuses on being the best mentor. This follows the same process except that the mentee is assigned to a different department for her/his internship.

IF the mentee passes toll gate 2, s/he moves to Phase 3 which focuses on being the best manager. This follows the same process and the internship is with a third department. Lastly, there’s a panel interview by the senior leadership who discusses and agrees to which department the new Team Leads will be assigned either to her/his current department, the second or the third department. The rule of thumb is 1 out of 3-4 promotions of each department must come from a different department.

If your organization does not have a robust leadership training program, then you are not being set up for success. Hence, be careful what you wish for (promotion) because you might get it… but drop it if you are not ready & supported.
