A Leader’s Greatest Joy
SNAPS DAY 310

Leadership is a challenging and yet fulfilling role. Everyday, you work hard to train, mentor and coach your Associates so they can learn and master the processes, develop their professional maturity and consistently perform their best to achieve their goals. You enroll them in relevant training programs and expose them to activities to enrich their skills. You empower them to make their own decisions and be accountable for their actions. You coach them as they navigate through the hurdles and complexities of their work. You delegate critical tasks and special projects to them so they grow and mature in their craft. You expose them to other high potential Associates from other departments so they can expand their network. You assign them to be subject matter experts guiding newbies to also become successful. You celebrate their wins both small and large. You are with them also when they are challenged. This is what a leader does, to be there with their Associates throughout their journey towards success.
A leader’s greatest joy is to witness her/his mentees get promoted. All the heart work in mentoring and coaching sessions are all worth it when you see your Associate get promoted and is now a “people leader” taking care of the career aspiration of others.
If you are leader who has helped someone get promoted, I would like to congratulate and appreciate you for doing a great job! We need more leaders like you who are selfless and tirelessly help others achieve their goals. I would be happy to help you for any leadership advise you may need. Just PM me and I will be there for you.
*About the video clip
The Mission Ambassador Program has been the source of some of the most outstanding leaders in one of the organizations I was part of. At least 70% of the MAs get promoted because of the intensive exposure they have leading diverse activities and programs in the organization across the entire Associate Lifecycle. This video clip is with one of the new batches of MAs and me. They had this creative suggestion to see me do my jumping Patrick Pose while they try to stay still. Happy times guys!! All the best to each of you always!
