I always reach out to people who are more knowledgeable and more experienced than me to learn a new skill or to better understand a topic where I am not the best subject matter expert.
Every time I reach out and say “Could you please help me” almost all the time, people are willing to help.
One of the traits I look for in a leader is being self aware of her/his strengths and weaknesses. One must know when to ask others for help. It takes humility, trust and maturity when you reach out to another leader and say “Could you please help me”.
This is also a golden opportunity for you to recognize, empower and elevate the other leader. The result is strengthening of your relationship, alignment and collaboration amongst other leaders.

*About the photo
This is my crazy, smart and cool college crew (L to R) Tom, me, Oli, Dodjie, and Ton. We make learning fun by always challenging and debating with each other inside the class. We love taking a different perspective about the lessons our professors discuss in school. We always ask help, and give help to one another, for topics we are not an expert on. So, when other people ask for our help and say “please”, we immediately extend our help.
p.s.
(Mga parekoy) I guess we did something good in college. So far, we are all grateful for the blessings our Good Lord has given each of us and our families.
Live Jesus in our hearts… _______
