What was taught to us in the past, in various leadership trainings and in the MBA is that leaders must bring out the very best in their people.

My experience taught me to bring out the natural element of each and every individual member of my Team.

Each one has their own personal goals and aspiration. It is not the same for everyone in a Team. Some get motivated by being pushed to their limits, but not all. Most people want to be better but not everyone wants to be a leader. What I realized is people go through stages in their lives and in their careers. As leaders, we need to be sensitive to that, acknowledge it and support them in their development each day.

When individual Team members trust that we genuinely care about them and there is deep respect for each other, only then will they bring out their natural element. When this level of trust and respect is sustained, that is when each Team member collectively take that journey to greatness with you.

This is what you and your Team call “a normal day”…. which others call it the best.
