I am humbled to serve as a Board of Trustee and appointed as co-Chairman of the Talent Development Committee of CIB.O (Cebu IT-BPM Organization) since last year.
The recent project of the Committee is a Contact Center Readiness Program nicknamed “PRIME” (EMployment in IT-BPM Readiness Program) because it’s going back to English Communication basics to enhance the competencies of near-hire resources and make them employable in the IT-BPM industry.
This project is beautifully led by THREE (3) amazing BPO member companies of CIB.O. Each company has their own near-hire program and decided to COLLABORATE AND HELP the community.
The way we designed the PRIME model is to have the ability for exponentially grow the number of graduates by deliberately placing volunteer teachers to join the batches. The teachers get certified as a PRIME graduate on the batch they’re part of. They co-facilitate as a Trainer on the next batch. Then, they get certified as a PRIME Trainer after they train the third batch. With at least one teacher per Batch, we’ll have at the very least 8 certified PRIME Trainers after 10 batches. These teachers come from different parts of Cebu island. So once certified, they go back to their respective cities and run their own PRIME Trainings in partnership with the CIB.O accredited PRIME Barangays across the island. We envision having a significant increase in the supply of qualified English speaking & experienced resources in Cebu island for the IT-BPM and related industries after a year into the program.
This is easier said than done.
This is why we have amazing Talent Development Subject Matter Experts from the THREE BPO companies who partnered in creating the curriculum.
Along with our Talent Devt Project Officer who helps champion the entire project - marketing, coordination, documentation, accreditation, logistics and communication… we are able to touch lives.

Those in the photo are from pilot Batch 3 who graduated last Friday. We have 100% employment for the first 2 batches. We are positive this batch will also be 100% employed.
